Introduction 
My name is Andreea Angelescu, and I am currently completing my bachelor’s in Computer Science at Transilvania University of Brașov. My fascination with technology began at a young age. I was curious about how things worked, especially computers.
Overcoming Challenges in Tech
The initial phase of my career was tough. Learning programming languages, grappling with algorithms, and understanding complex systems were overwhelming at times. However, I was determined to make it work. I embraced the challenges, stayed patient, and kept pushing forward.
Essential Skills in Tech
Throughout my journey, certain skills have been particularly valuable. Problem-solving has been at the core of everything I do. The ability to adapt to new technologies and trends has also been crucial, as the tech world is ever-evolving. Additionally, effective communication and collaboration have played a significant role, as successful projects often require teamwork.
Passion for Computer Science
What I absolutely love about my field of study is the constant learning and the satisfaction that comes with applying theoretical knowledge to solve real-world problems. It’s like solving a puzzle, and when the pieces come together, it’s incredibly rewarding.
Women in Tech: Challenges and Advice
The tech industry has seen a positive shift towards inclusivity, but there’s still work to be done. Women in tech face unique challenges, including underrepresentation and unconscious biases. To women considering a career in tech, I say, “Go for it!” Don’t let stereotypes or doubts hold you back. Seek out mentors, join supportive networks, and believe in your abilities.
womENcourage Experience and Takeaways
Attending womENcourage for the first time has been a highlight of my career. It’s been inspiring to connect with so many talented women, share experiences, and learn from each other. The workshops, discussions, and networking opportunities at womENcourage were incredible. Hearing from successful women in the field has left me feeling motivated and inspired to continue pushing my limits. womENcourage has provided invaluable insights into industry trends, essential skills, and the importance of networking and mentorship. These lessons will undoubtedly aid in my career progression.
